What PromptVault Does

PromptVault is a Chrome extension that helps you save, organize, and insert AI prompts into platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

Data We Collect

Free Users

We collect no data. All prompts are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. Nothing leaves your device.

Pro Users (signed in)

• Email address — used for account identification and billing
• Display name and avatar — from your Google account, shown in the extension UI
• Prompt data — synced to our cloud database so you can access prompts across devices
• Subscription info — Stripe customer ID and subscription status

How We Store Data

• Cloud data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security — only you can access your own data
• Authentication is handled via Google OAuth 2.0
• Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your credit card details
• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption

What We Don't Do

• We never read, analyze, or train AI on your prompts
• We never sell or share your data with third parties
• We never track your browsing activity
• We use no analytics or tracking pixels

Permissions Explained

• storage — save prompts locally in your browser
• sidePanel — display the prompt manager in Chrome's side panel
• activeTab — insert prompts into the current tab's text input
• alarms — schedule periodic sync for Pro users
• identity — Google sign-in for Pro accounts
• Host permissions — access ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity pages to insert prompts into their input fields

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Local data can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.
